Associate Architect
London | £70,000 – £75,000 + Benefits
An international architecture practice is seeking an Associate Architect to join its London studio.
This is a senior role with responsibility for managing a major retail client account, leading project teams, and overseeing the delivery of large-scale developments across the UK. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and digital delivery specialists to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, profitably, and to a high technical standard.
The role would suit an experienced Senior Architect looking to step into an Associate-level position, or an established Associate Architect seeking a new challenge within a
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary point of contact for a major retail client account
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams across all RIBA work stages
- Manage project programmes, fees, budgets and resources
- Oversee technical delivery and quality assurance
Coordinate consultant and sub-consultant teams - Lead, mentor and develop architectural staff
- Monitor project performance and profitability
- Support the implementation of BIM, digital delivery and automation processes
- Work closely with the Digital Lead to improve workflows, efficiency and project delivery
- Qualified Architect with substantial UK project experience
- Experience operating at Senior Architect or Associate level
- Proven ability to lead and deliver complex projects
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent project-running and team management experience
- Advanced Revit and BIM capability
- Strong understanding of digital delivery workflows
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams
- Strong commercial awareness and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience delivering big-box retail projects would be highly beneficial, although candidates with experience in industrial, logistics, warehouse, data centre, commercial or other large-scale project sectors will also be considered.
- Salary of £70,000 – £75,000
- Hybrid working
- 29 days annual leave, including Christmas shutdown
- 5% matched pension contribution
