We are looking for a newly qualified Architect (or early-career Architect) to work on a high-profile heritage and conservation-led project. The successful candidate will be an ambitious, motivated and creative individual with a keen interest in conservation and historic buildings, looking for a challenging and rewarding role within a collaborative team environment.

Candidates should ideally have some experience or demonstrable interest in:

  • Conservation, heritage projects or work with historic buildings
  • High-end bespoke residential projects (desirable)
  • Working through RIBA work stages, with strong attention to detail

You will be expected to contribute to the delivery of projects across all RIBA stages, including design development, technical detailing, and coordination with consultants and stakeholders. A working knowledge of traditional construction methods and materials would be advantageous.

Experience of ArchiCAD is beneficial but not essential, as training can be provided.

Key Competencies
  • Strong interest or experience in conservation and heritage architecture
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients, consultants and stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative project team
  • Strong design ability with an eye for detail, particularly in historic contexts
  • A practical and considered problem-solving approach
  • Good understanding of UK planning, listed building consent, and building regulations (or willingness to develop this)
  • Knowledge or interest in traditional building systems and construction techniques
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and meet project deadlines
  • Understanding of contractual and project delivery processes
  • Willingness to travel within the UK
