The Company
Christie’s, the world’s largest Art Business, is an incredibly exciting and enriching place to start or continue your career. Whether you work within one of our Specialist Art Departments or in our more Operational focused teams we all work together with one common goal: to continue the success of this 250‑year‑old company, steeped in history, bringing constant innovation whilst not forgetting our age‑old values:
Passionate Expertise, Exceptional Client Service, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, Business Judgment, and Innovation. Colleagues across all departments are truly passionate about what they do and their work is constantly inspiring to collaborate with industry leaders across all segments of the business.
This position has the potential to be extended for up to one year.
Why This Role MattersExhibition and Architectural design at Christie’s is a hybrid practice that integrates aspects of different disciplines: exhibition design, 3D and architectural design and graphic design. It involves creating bespoke exhibitions to enhance sales and designing spaces across the EMEA region to show and sell art to our clients, creating a distinct offering unmatched by Christie’s competitors, or designing sets for photo and video campaigns, to name a few.
This exciting role is suitable for Part 2 architects (or 3D designers from related backgrounds) with excellent spatial design skills, a true passion for the arts and luxury industries, and an interest to explore the world of exhibition design and interior design for the art and luxury businesses.
Working in a positive, friendly and adaptable, digital‑first environment, the goal is to assist the Exhibition Design Director in the delivery of top‑level exhibition projects, as well as in the design of new permanent galleries and work spaces across the EMEA region. A rare opportunity to work on some very exciting projects from concept to detail and completion, and to venture into the world of exhibition design, creating exhibitions for Christie’s beautiful galleries in Central London.
