Position: UX Designer - 12-Month FTC
Location: Greater London

Job Title

UX Designer – 12 month full‑time (FT) contract

Locations & Salary

London: £72,702 – £80,780

Bristol or Leeds: £61,344 – £68,160

Working Pattern

Hybrid – at least two days per week or 40% of time at one of our office sites. Flexible working options available.

Role Overview

We’re looking for someone who can work collaboratively alongside a full design team and take full ownership of their design output. They will be confident presenting their work to stakeholders and able to adapt designs to reflect feedback from user research and usability testing.

Responsibilities
  • Skilfully craft the end‑to‑end user experience, bringing together a cohesive journey step by step.
  • Create designs using a central design system to balance content and UI elements on screen.
  • Bring designs to life with prototyping software such as Figma.
  • Balance business requirements with user needs, gathering user research to align stakeholders.
  • Advise on when to push back to act on what’s right for the customer.
  • Adapt to technical constraints of different platforms, guiding the best possible end‑user experience.
  • Advocate customer inclusion and accessibility for a wide range of ages, backgrounds and technical abilities.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience in User Experience / Interaction Design.
  • Strong background as an Interaction Designer, UX Designer, or from a visual design background.
  • Full ownership of interaction design projects.
  • Excellent prototyping and layout skills, able to articulate clearly to customers and developers.
  • Comfortable using existing design systems and recommending improvements.
  • Ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative research and apply insights to design.
  • Experience in a complex landscape – ideally financial services.
  • Collaborative mindset to work closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong ability to see designs through to delivery and collaborate with developers.
  • Advocacy of customer inclusivity and accessibility.
