Job Description & How to Apply Below
Wendover Studio is hiring for an intermediate FF&E interior designer, based out of our London office. This role will be dedicated to leading Wendover’s FF&E design and procurement services, working on a range of furniture, decor, and styling projects in high-end residential homes, offices, restaurants, galleries, and residential developments in both London and overseas. In the long-term, the right candidate would be able to help expand Wendover’s FF&E & bespoke furnishings business line, including commercial arrangements and new business development.
Requirements- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in FF&E design and procurement, with a focus on high-end residential
- Very strong delivery, project management and procurement skills
- Strong knowledge of the historical and contemporary furniture design canon
- Experience working with and sourcing vintage and antique pieces in particular
- Experienced in and capable of sophisticated client presentations & management
- Ability to attend site visits and client meetings throughout London
- Experience working in project management/procurement software such as Excel, EstiPC/Esti Mac, Programa, Fohlio, etc.
- Basic CAD skills required for space planning, with a preference for ArchiCAD
- Passionate about architecture, design, and decor
- Highly organized, with excellent time management skills and the ability to triage work
- Pro-active problem-solver
- Polite, friendly, diplomatic, and discreet
- Lead end-to-end FF&E design and procurement across a portfolio of concurrent high-end residential, hospitality, and commercial projects — from initial concept through to installation and snagging
- Develop comprehensive FF&E schedules, specifications, and budgets, maintaining accuracy across all versions and revisions
- Source furniture, lighting, textiles, art, accessories, and decorative objects from trade suppliers, galleries, auction houses, antique dealers, and bespoke makers — with a particular emphasis on identifying exceptional vintage and one-off pieces
- Prepare and present polished mood boards, concept presentations, and FF&E proposals to clients, incorporating visualisations, sample boards, and cost summaries
- Manage procurement logistics end-to-end: issue purchase orders, track lead times, coordinate with suppliers and freight/logistics partners, manage delivery scheduling, and oversee white-glove installation
- Maintain transparent, up-to-date procurement trackers and client-facing cost reports throughout the lifecycle of each project
- Coordinate with the architectural team to ensure FF&E selections are fully integrated with broader design intent, material palette, and spatial layouts
- Collaborate with the Wendover Studio design team to develop bespoke furniture and object designs — from initial concept sketching and design development through to supplier identification, prototyping, sampling, and final production approval
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide network of suppliers, makers, galleries, and dealers — expanding and refining Wendover’s trade contacts over time
- Support and manage client relationships with professionalism and discretion, acting as the primary point of contact for FF&E-related queries, approvals, and decisions
- Oversee site visits during installation phases, ensuring all pieces are placed, styled, and finished to the highest standard
- Manage junior team members or freelance support as required, providing clear briefs, direction, and quality oversight
- Contribute to the development of Wendover’s FF&E service offering, including fee structures, procurement processes, supplier agreements, and internal workflows
- Support new business development efforts by contributing to pitches, preparing capability materials, and identifying opportunities to extend FF&E services to existing and prospective clients
- Stay closely attuned to the contemporary design market — attending trade fairs, gallery openings, auctions, and showroom events to maintain current knowledge of product, pricing, and trends
