Facades Design Manager – London

Permanent role offering a salary between £70,000 and £85,000 plus package.

The Facades Design Manager will oversee the development of facade system details, support the delivery of detailed tenders and shop drawing packages, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and buildability.

• Produce facades system details from architectural sketches and assist in the delivery of detailed facade tenders and shop drawing packages.
• Provide 2D and 3D drafting using AutoCAD software for architectural documentation and detailed working drawings.
• Prepare facade technical specifications.
• Coordinate with relevant parties to raise/resolve project-related issues that could affect the delivery of documentation.
• Review and evaluate design deliverables to ensure buildability and compliance, liaising with the client’s design team and specialist suppliers.
• Work with both internal and external project teams to ensure that the company, client requirements, programme targets and budgets are achieved.
• Attend and host internal and external design workshops representing the company.
• Manage internal and external design teams to ensure compliance with the project design, incorporation of common details, product specification, building regulations and national standards.
• Manage design cost, accountability for design processes, and record and maintain variations lists.

• Experience leading technically complex facade packages up to £20million, or from a specialist consultancy with a minimum of five years of facade experience.
• Strong knowledge of facade design system details and drafting using AutoCAD.
• Demonstrated ability to produce technical specifications and coordinate interdisciplinary teams.
• Experience reviewing design deliverables for buildability and compliance.
• Experience with design cost management and variation control.

Salary range £70,000 to £85,000 plus package.
