Job Description

JPMorgan Chase is building a digital bank in the UK, aiming to revolutionise mobile banking with seamless customer journeys. We are creating the bank of the future from scratch, channeling a startup mentality while operating within a global financial institution.

As a Product Designer in the International Consumer Bank, you will be part of a flat-structured organisation that values solution‑oriented, customer‑focused individuals. You will work in an agile environment, collaborating with diverse teams to build products that impact customers worldwide.

The role sits within the Product Design Team, part of the Design & Customer Experience (DCE) Team, based in London. In this position you will lead product design efforts, driving innovation from concept to delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Drive product design excellence within a dedicated product squad, balancing craft with business impact and ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables.
  • Translate complex business requirements and user needs into intuitive, user‑friendly experiences.
  • Collaborate across research, design, technology, and business teams to create customer‑focused products and services.
  • Align design and business goals in partnership with leadership across Customer Experience, Product, and Marketing.
  • Lead discovery, design, and delivery research through workshops, design sprints, and ideation sessions.
  • Advocate for customer‑centric design by using insights and data to inform user experiences.
  • Create high‑quality design deliverables, including concepts, prototypes, user journeys, wireframes, UI flows, and detailed UI designs.
  • Partner with the design system team to represent customer and business needs.
  • Present and communicate design work and recommendations to stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Manage stakeholders, proactively resolve issues that affect design quality, and identify new opportunities for innovation.
  • Mentor and support other designers, fostering best practices and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications , Capabilities and Skills
  • Proven experience in hands‑on product design roles, demonstrating craft and problem‑solving across end‑to‑end product or service environments.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing user‑centered solutions that address business and customer challenges.
  • Solution‑oriented, commercially savvy, with an interest in fintech and experience delivering impactful products.
  • Ability to synthesise complex and competing needs and communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Practical understanding of current and emerging technologies relevant to digital experiences.
  • Experience designing across digital touchpoints, including native iOS and Android platforms.
  • Proficiency in usability testing, iterative design, and early‑stage UX research methods.
  • Expert knowledge of modern design systems, prototyping software, and design tools (e.g., Figma).
  • Versatile craft skills from concept sketches to high‑fidelity digital prototypes.
  • Passion for fostering an environment where people can do their best work.
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic, collaborative, cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications , Capabilities and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Product design and delivery experience in Financial Services or Fintech.
