Location: Greater London
Collate Form is working with a leading international workplace interiors and commercial furniture specialist to find a Senior Workplace Interior Designer for its London team. This is a dealer, not a traditional design practice - if you have experience from a dealer, this is a bonus, but you must be furniture-focused.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded, design-led business delivering complex workplace projects for major corporate clients.
The role combines creative interior design, workplace planning, furniture specification, technical delivery and direct client engagement. You will take projects from the initial brief and concept development through to detailed specification, installation and final delivery.
The RoleYou will work closely with clients, sales, project management, procurement and operations teams to create considered workplace environments that respond to the brief, budget and programme.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing workplace concepts, space plans and furniture layouts
- Presenting design proposals, finish palettes and product solutions
- Managing client feedback and design approvals
- Researching and specifying furniture, lighting, fabrics and finishes
- Preparing detailed furniture specifications and validation packages
- Producing and revising AutoCAD drawings and installation information
- Conducting site surveys, measurements and furniture inventories
- Liaising with manufacturers on pricing, lead times and technical details
- Coordinating with architects, contractors and specialist consultants
- Managing multiple live projects from concept through to installation
You will have at least three years’ experience within workplace interiors, commercial furniture or a related design environment.
You should be confident combining creative thinking with technical accuracy, commercial awareness and strong client communication.
Experience with in a furniture dealer, workplace design studio, architectural practice or design-and-build company would be particularly relevant.
You will ideally have:
- Strong workplace planning and interior design experience
- Good commercial furniture and manufacturer knowledge
- Experience producing furniture layouts and detailed specificationsion>
- Confidence selecting furniture, materials and finishes
- An understanding of project budgets, lead times and commercial constraints
- Experience conducting site surveys and producing technical information
- Excellent presentation, organisation and communication skills
- A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach
Strong AutoCAD skills are required.
Experience using CET, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite or furniture specification software would also be beneficial.
