Senior Wayfinding Designer
Perm, Full time, Hybrid.
£45k‑55k.

A Branded Environments team within an international Architecture and Design studio are looking for a highly experienced and motivated Senior Wayfinding Designer who can help people find their way – and make the journey look good while they’re ’ll lead design work across way finding, placemaking, and visual identity, from early concepts to on‑site delivery. Basically: strategy, signs, spaces – all tied together beautifully.

You’ve found your niche in way finding design and have a portfolio full of projects that showcase this. You’ve likely worked with organisations such as museums and galleries, services such as train stations, airports, schemes for residential developments, office signage systems or any other environments where people need to find their way around.

You’re passionate about people, access, and inclusion – you design with everyone in mind. But your skills don’t stop at design, you’re great at understanding the scope of a project, planning it (including budgeting), strategizing, managing clients, and overseeing the work in the studio.

You’ll be a proven leader in this sector and will enjoy managing a team to produce great work.

You’ll be:
  • Producing, supervising and delivering design systems, guidelines, drawings and specifications at the conceptual, tender and construction stages.
  • Turning research and strategy into thoughtful, user‑friendly design.
  • Designing across environments – not just pretty, but purposeful.
  • Collaborating with 3D designers, architects, clients and contractors.
  • Presenting ideas clearly (and convincingly) to both internal teams and clients.
  • Managing multiple projects and mentoring junior members of the team.
  • Involved in the generation of bids and tender documents.
  • Joining a friendly, professional and committed team.
You’ll have:
  • A keen eye for design and passion for creating design systems.
  • A portfolio full of smart, well‑executed way finding and environmental design.
  • Strong typography and layout skills (and you know your way around a floorplan).
  • Confidence in navigating both creative reviews and construction sites.
  • A good handle on accessibility, materials and real‑world application.
  • Fluent Adobe Creative Suite skills and solid attention to detail.
  • An understanding of Revit and ability to oversee projects in this tool.
  • Experience using Signagent is a bonus.
  • Excellent communication – visual, verbal and written.
