About Dwelly

Dwelly — a UK-based, AI-enabled lettings and property management platform, that is growing through a roll-up strategy acquiring estate agencies. The company leverages two arms: i) acquiring existing letting agencies, effectively buying its highly sticky, recurring revenue-type landlords portfolios, and then ii) building a top-notch technology to automate tenant management, payments, and post-rental property maintenance. The company seamlessly integrates AI services to automate all business processes within brick-and-mortar real estate agencies, integrating them into a tech-enabled digital letting platform in two months to radically improve the user experiences and increase efficiency of the business.

We’re a fast-growing, product-focused company, backed by top-tier investors and led by a team with deep experience in real estate, technology, and operations.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly talented and hands‑on Product Designer to help shape the experience across the full set of Dwelly products (Tenant Find, Property Management, Payments, CRM) and the internal back‑office tools that power them. This role involves deeply understanding our user personas (Tenant, Landlord, Maintenance Contractor, Dwelly Agent) and designing for both the customer‑facing portals and the operational tools our agents use every day.

Given the early stage of the business, our current products are hyper‑functional but quite basic — an “MVP” that prioritises getting the job done across all domains. You’ll work closely with product and engineering to take these to the next level: bringing clarity, usability, and craft to data‑dense, workflow‑heavy internal tools, and building genuinely good experiences for tenants and landlords. You’ll also help establish the basic building blocks of design at Dwelly — a shared design system, patterns, and a lightweight design process — from the ground up.

Our current development team is a team of 5, a few analysts, and one product designer. You’ll join a small, fast‑moving product team and have an outsized impact on how the whole product looks, feels, and works.

Key Responsibilities:

1.
User Research & Insights

  • Work with product to understand user pain points across all personas — tenants, landlords, maintenance contractors, and internal agents.
  • Turn qualitative and quantitative insights into design decisions.
  • Act as an advocate for usability and the end user within the company.

2.
End-to-End Product Design

  • Design flows, wireframes, and high‑fidelity UIs for both customer‑facing products (tenant and landlord portals) and internal back‑office tools.
  • Design for data‑dense, workflow‑heavy operational products where clarity and efficiency matter more than decoration.
  • Own the design process from concept and prototyping through to polished, build‑ready specs, and iterate after launch.

3.
Design Across the Product Suite

  • Bring consistency and quality across Tenant Find, Property Management, Payments, and the communications/portal layer.
  • Partner closely with engineers and product managers to translate requirements into shippable design, balancing craft with speed and technical feasibility.

4.
Design System & Process Building

  • Establish and maintain a shared design system, component library, and reusable patterns.
  • Introduce lightweight design workflows, documentation, and review/handoff practices suited to an early‑stage team.
Qualifications & Preferred Background:
  • Experience: 5+ years in product design, with a strong portfolio spanning both complex/operational tools and consumer‑facing products. Comfortable in early‑stage, low‑structure environments as well as more structured, product‑led settings.
  • Skills: Strong interaction and visual design skills; systems thinking; exceptional attention to detail; able to design for complexity and make it feel simple. Excellent communication and collaboration skills across product and engineering.
  • In step with recent technology advancements:
can prototype and ship designs quickly and independently with the help of AI.
Preferred Background:
  • Experience designing operational, back‑office, or B2B tools where efficiency and workflow are central — ideally in…
