CDM Principal Designer Fit Out & Refurbishment London

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established fit out contractor seeking an experienced CDM Principal Designer to join their expanding team.

Working across a diverse portfolio of commercial fit out and refurbishment projects, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely and in full compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of work across commercial offices, retail, banking, hospitality and public sector projects.

As CDM Principal Designer, you will:

• Carry out the duties of Principal Designer under the CDM Regulations 2015.
• Advise clients, designers and contractors on their CDM responsibilities.
• Coordinate health and safety throughout the design process.
• Review design information and identify potential construction risks.
• Prepare and review Pre-Construction Information (PCI).
• Ensure design risk management is carried out effectively.
• Attend design team meetings and project progress meetings.
• Liaise with clients, architects, consultants and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support projects from concept through to completion.

Requirements

• Proven experience working as a CDM Principal Designer.
• Strong knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2015.
• Experience with in commercial fit out and refurbishment projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent (desirable).
• Membership of APS, IOSH or another relevant professional body (desirable).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
