Advanced Steel Draughtsman

Location: Greater London

Our client, an architectural metalwork specialist contractor, is seeking an experienced Advance Steel Designer / Detailer to join our busy fabrication and engineering team. Operating fully from the main office, you will work closely alongside our project managers and workshop teams to produce high-quality 3D models and precise manufacturing drawings for general and architectural metalwork

Key Responsibilities

* Produce detailed drawings for Approval for general and architectural metalwork.

* Produce detailed fabrication and erection drawings for general and architectural metalwork.

* Create 3D models and 2D CAD drawings using Autodesk Advance Steel.

* Generate accurate General Arrangement drawings, assembly details, and material schedules.

* Collaborate in-person with project managers, structural engineers, and workshop fabrication teams.

* Interpret engineering calculations and project specifications to deliver design intent on time.

Requirements

* Essential:
Minimum 2+ years of continuous draughting and detailing experience using Advance Steel.

* Solid understanding of architectural / general metalwork and fabrication processes.

* Strong communication skills with the ability to resolve drawing queries on-site and in the workshop.

* High attention to detail and ability to work to strict project deadlines
