Hybrid working
· UK based, with regular time in our London OR Horsham office
Rotageek builds workforce management software that helps organisations schedule the right people, in the right place, at the right time. Our product supports teams across retail, hospitality, healthcare and, increasingly, distribution centres.
We work on complex, operational problems where forecasting informs planning, planning drives time tracking, and time tracking feeds payroll. That means design decisions have real downstream impact. It also means there is plenty of scope to do meaningful product work that improves how customers run frontline operations.
The roleWe are looking for a Designer to join our Product team and support design across the full Rotageek product.
You will work across multiple squads and product domains, including scheduling, time and attendance, and forecasting. From early discovery through to shipped UI, you will help shape features, improve coherence across the product, and contribute to how design works at Rotageek.
This role would suit a designer with strong SaaS product experience who enjoys complexity, works well in cross-functional teams, and wants the chance to have real influence rather than operating inside a large, heavily layered design function.
What you’ll do- Work across product squads, partnering with product managers, tech leads and engineers from discovery through to delivery and iteration.
- Create end-to-end user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs in Figma.
- Design clear, usable interfaces for dense operational data, including staffing, demand, compliance and cost signals.
- Validate ideas with current and prospective customers, then turn what you learn into better design decisions.
- Contribute patterns and components back into the Rotageek design system to keep the experience consistent as the product grows.
- Partner closely with engineering on handoff, review work in staging and production, and help maintain visual and interaction quality.
- Champion accessibility and responsive design across desktop, tablet and shared-device contexts.
- Bring a strong point of view on where the product should evolve next, informed by customer insight and the wider workforce management space.
- UX/UI design experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or another product-led environment.
- A portfolio showing end-to-end product design work, from research and ideation through to shipped UI.
- Strong Figma skills, including component libraries, auto layout and prototyping.
- A solid grasp of accessibility best practice, responsive design and design systems.
- Experience running or contributing to usability testing and qualitative research.
- Confidence working in agile, cross-functional squads.
- Clear written communication and the ability to explain design decisions simply.
- Enough front-end understanding to collaborate well with engineers.
It would be a plus if you have experience in workforce management, logistics, retail, hospitality, healthcare or another operationally complex environment.
How we workYou will work across small, cross-functional squads made up of product, engineering and QA, with two-week sprints and a collaborative, delivery-focused rhythm.
We work hybrid, with regular time together in the London or Horsham office and asynchronous collaboration in between. We value clear written thinking, healthy challenge, and people who are happy to ask good questions early and own their work through to implementation.
Our valuesThe way we work matters as much as what we ship. Our values are:
- Start with People – we remember our work affects real people, so we listen, understand and act with care.
- Clear is Kind – we speak honestly and with care, and create the clarity people need to move forward.
- Own It, Together – we take responsibility, support each other through the messy bits, and focus on solving problems rather than finding blame.
- Shape design across the whole product at a point where your decisions can carry for years.
- Work on genuinely complex product problems where good design has real…
