Design Coordinator​/Design Manager – Internal Glass & Glazing

An excellent opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading internal glass and glazing specialists, with a £90M turnover and an established reputation for delivering major CAT A and CAT B commercial projects nationwide.

The business works extensively with Tier 1 main contractors and is recognised as a market leader in internal glass, delivering technically complex glazing packages across some of the UK’s most prominent commercial developments.

You will be responsible for coordinating and managing the design process from development through to construction, working closely with main contractors, architects, consultants and project teams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating and detailing Stage 4 & 5 drawings for internal glass and glazing packages.
• Working across CAT A and CAT B commercial projects.
• Drawing and coordinating detailed drawings for glass partitions, doors, fire-rated glazing, screens, balustrades and associated systems.
• Managing design programmes, drawing registers, technical submissions and RFIs.
• Coordinating designs with other trades and ensuring buildability.
• Attending design meetings and working closely with Tier 1 contractors and consultants.
• For Design Managers, taking ownership of the overall design process and providing technical leadership.

• Experience working for a specialist internal glazing / glass subcontractor.
• Strong technical knowledge of internal glass and glazing systems.
• Experience on commercial projects, ideally working with Tier 1 main contractors.
• Strong understanding of CAT A and CAT

• Experience with Stage 4/5 construction information and design coordination.
• Strong AutoCAD and technical drawing knowledge.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
