About The Role

Our client is an employee-owned architecture practice and certified B Corp, with over 300 specialists across architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, urban design, town planning and graphic design, operating from a network of UK studios. We are looking for an all-rounded Senior Technologist with experience across a variety of sectors, with essential experience in refurbishment and retrofit — ideally on heritage buildings — and desirable experience in education or healthcare projects.

This permanent role sits within a growing London studio and is suited to a technically strong Senior Technologist capable of running several on-site projects simultaneously, delegating effectively to junior team members while maintaining oversight of complex, large-scale work. Reporting to the regional director, you will lead project teams and take ownership of technical delivery from brief through to construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project teams and manage a small internal team, reporting to the regional director
  • Take a brief and develop initial proposals through technical delivery stages
  • Coordinate the design team and associated professional consultants
  • Manage client relationships, running multiple or complex projects to satisfaction, on time and in profit
  • Monitor financial performance and manage fees/invoicing on live projects
  • Contribute to winning new work across the studio
Key Requirements
  • Significant experience running large-scale projects (£20m+ or similar)
  • Essential: refurbishment/retrofit experience, ideally on heritage buildings
  • In-depth knowledge of Revit
  • Strong specification-writing and technical documentation skills
  • Ability to manage and delegate workload across junior team members and outsourcing partners
  • Sound understanding of legal, statutory and professional compliance on complex or multiple projects
  • Comfortable managing several projects simultaneously, working both independently and collaboratively
  • Desirable: education or healthcare sector experience, Dynamo scripting, NBS Chorus
Why Join?

Our client offers a flexible, purpose-led environment with a strong long-term career path.

  • Flexible working environment
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Contemporary studio in an excellent location
  • Friendly, open and caring culture
  • Future opportunity for employee share ownership
