Freelance Clothing Designer (Paid Per Design)
Noor The Label | London (In-Person) | Per-Design Pay
About us
Noor The Label creates premium hijabs inspired by heritage and contemporary hijabs made for everyday elegance. We're launching our first clothing line and looking for a designer to help bring it to life.
The Role
We're hiring a freelance designer to own the full design process for each piece, end to end. This isn't just sketching, you'll take an idea from concept to a finished, production ready sample.
As a founding designer of this line, you'll have real creative input on the pieces that launch us.
You'll be paid per completed design, with rate scaling based in complexity.
Each design should include:
- Concept & Sketch - Flat sketch or digital rendering showing front/back/side construction details, and styling.
- Tech pack - Full spec sheet: measurements, construction notes, stitch types, trims, labelling placement.
- Sizing - Size chart with graded measurements across our size range.
- Fabric & composition details - recommended fabric type, weight, composition, and care instructions (we'll supply materials and all needed once a design has been approved)
- Sample - A physical sample garment built from the tech pack for approval before we move to production.
What You Need
- Experience designing apparel - modest wear, hijabs or abayas as a plus, but open to all experience levels if you can demonstrate the full skill set below ( Please research our brand before applying ).
- Ability to independently produce a full tech pack (not just a sketch).
- Understanding of garment constructions, grading, and sizing standard.
- Ability to build or oversee sample production.
- A portfolio showing past design work.
- Must be based in or able to work in-person in London. ( sample development and fittings are done on-site)
How To Apply
Send your portfolio and a short note on your process for taking a design from sketch to sample, along with your typical turnaround time per piece - via Linkedin message or email to:
/
Terms
- Paid per accepted design - rate depends on the product (e.g., a simple hijab vs. a more structured piece); exact rate discussed once we've seen your portfolio.

- Materials/fabric supplied by us once a design is greenlit.
- NDA required before design direction and brand details are shared.
- Number of designs and ongoing work will depend on how well we work together - strong performances may lead to a longer-term or renewed contract.
