About Us

10 Design shapes spaces at every scale, from individual buildings to entire cityscapes. Our work spans master planning, mixed-use developments, retail, hospitality, residential, research and science facilities, as well as civic and cultural projects. We take pride in creating designs that inspire, engage and respond thoughtfully to the unique character of the communities we serve. 10 Design is part of the 10N Collective of urbanism, architecture and related design experts, headquartered in London and working from 20 studios across five continents.

There is strong collaboration between the practices within 10N, providing unique opportunities for our staff.

We are seeking an experienced and design-focused Senior Architect to make a significant contribution to the delivery of complex architectural projects across a range of sectors, scales and work stages. The role combines design leadership, technical judgement, coordination and day-to-day responsibility for defined project areas or work packages.

Working under the direction of a Project Architect, Associate or Associate Director, you will operate with a high degree of independence, uphold the project vision and 10 Design quality standards, and guide less experienced team members. Depending on project scale and complexity, you may lead a project workstream, manage defined packages or deputise for the Project Architect.

You will be expected to seek advice where appropriate, exercise sound professional judgement and take responsibility for the decisions you make, the tasks you undertake and the quality and timely delivery of work produced by you and those reporting to you.

About the Role

  • Drive design development across all project stages, balancing creativity, sustainability, technical performance, programme and cost considerations.
  • Oversee the production, coordination and review of design and technical information, ensuring compliance with quality standards, statutory requirements and project objectives.
  • Lead consultant coordination, design reviews and technical problem-solving to ensure successful project delivery and effective risk management.
  • Support planning, regulatory approvals and sustainability initiatives, including contributions to BREEAM, LEED and other environmental assessment frameworks.
  • Monitor project progress, resources, programmes and deliverables, proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions to maintain project performance.
  • Contribute to procurement, tender and construction activities, including contractor engagement, technical reviews, site inspections and quality assurance.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and high‑performing team environment.
  • Champion best practice in health and safety, quality management and professional standards across all aspects of project delivery.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial awareness, supporting effective management of project scope, fees, resources and client expectations.
