Position: own senior structural projects at a design led practice
You are an experienced structural engineer who wants to work somewhere design quality is taken as seriously by the engineers as it is by the architects, rather than being an afterthought.

This is a London based structural engineering consultancy that works closely with architects on residential, commercial and interior led projects, with a reputation for finding elegant structural solutions rather than defaulting to the easiest option. The practice is small enough that senior engineers have real visibility across every project they touch, and design discussions happen collaboratively rather than being handed down from above.

If you have grown tired of being one of many senior engineers on a large team, rarely speaking to clients and rarely credited for the thinking behind a scheme, this role offers something more personal. You will run your own projects end to end, work directly with architects and clients from concept through to completion, and have genuine influence over the technical approach the practice takes.

There is room to grow into a more senior or associate position as the practice develops, with a working style that stays collaborative rather than hierarchical as it does, and a genuine say in the projects you take on.

Salary is between 56,000 and 74,000, depending on experience.
