ZMMA is recruiting a senior exhibition designer to join its team in London.
ZMMA is recruiting a senior exhibition designer to join our multidisciplinary architecture and exhibition design studio in Hoxton, London.
We are looking for an experienced 3D exhibition designer with a minimum of ten years' professional experience, strong creative and technical delivery skills - and the ability to lead UK exhibition projects across all design stages.
What you'll be doing:- leading exhibition design projects from creative concept through to technical delivery
- leading and mentoring junior members of the exhibition design team
- leading and coordinating design team sub-consultant disciplines
- participating in creative workshops, research and interpretation planning
- developing exhibition concepts that respond creatively to content, narrative and storytelling
- developing and presenting design proposals to clients, consultants and the wider team
- producing drawings, 3D models, sketches, visuals and technical drawing packages
- contributing to pitches, marketing and design competitions
- minimum ten years' professional experience, with significant experience designing and delivering exhibitions for museums and the cultural sector
- a degree in exhibition, interior or spatial design; an architectural qualification is an advantage
- strong creative 3D exhibition design skills, alongside technical design and detailing experience
- experience leading exhibition projects across different design stages and mentoring junior designers
- a portfolio demonstrating built and delivered museum exhibitions
- strong communication, presentation and organisational skills
- 2D graphic design and interpretation planning experience is an advantage
- French language skills are also an advantage
Our work includes permanent and temporary exhibitions and museum/gallery buildings. Current projects include major UK museums and projects in France.
