Senior Womenswear Designer - Wovens & Softs

£50,000 - £60,000

A leading fashion supplier is seeking a talented Senior Womenswear Designer to work on their key high-street customer accounts, across multi-product woven's and softs categories. Working closely with the design team, you will take full ownership of the design process from concept through to finished product, delivering high-quality designs that meet client specifications and align with high street market trends.

  • Execute the full design process from initial concept to final product.
  • Produce detailed design sheets and artwork for factories, ensuring clarity and accuracy to support sample development.
  • Communicate with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment on design direction and timelines.
  • Collaborate with account managers to understand customer needs and respond with targeted design solutions.
  • Present design concepts to clients and buyers with confidence and clarity.
  • Travel to production sites in the Far East to build strong relationships with factories and suppliers.
  • Maintain and develop supplier relationships to support innovation and new product development.
  • Conduct shopping and trend research trips to gather inspiration, source samples, and forecast future trends.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, supporting their development and growth within the team.
What We're Looking For:
  • A strong creative flair and the ability to conceptualise and deliver original designs.
  • Prior experience designing jersey and woven multi-products, including denim.
  • Solid understanding of product construction methods and garment development.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand, and Shima Seiki APEX.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills.
