UX Designer – Conversational Experience & AI

London – 2 days onsite per week (fixed requirement)

We’re looking for an experienced UX Designer to join a forward-thinking team within a leading financial services organisation, working at the cutting edge of conversational experiences, emerging technologies and AI.

This is an exciting opportunity to go beyond traditional UX design and help define how the next generation of digital experiences will work. You’ll be part of a growing team developing innovative conversational interfaces within a mobile app, exploring new ways for customers to interact with AI-powered services.

• Designing the future of conversational UX – creating new interactions, behaviours and components for AI-powered customer experiences.
• Shaping end-to-end experiences – connecting backend capabilities with intuitive, seamless customer-facing interfaces.
• Exploring emerging technologies – considering how generative AI, agentic AI, voice and conversational interfaces can transform digital interactions.
• Solving complex problems – bringing structure to ambiguity, identifying opportunities and helping shape product direction.
• Improving the wider app experience – auditing existing experiences, identifying gaps and ensuring consistency across the digital ecosystem.
• Driving discovery and innovation – using research, customer insights and systems thinking to develop new approaches.
• Working collaboratively – partnering with product, engineering, research and design colleagues to bring new ideas to life.

We're keen to speak with experienced UX or Product Designers who can demonstrate:

• A proven ability to define how systems work end-to-end, not just design individual screens or features.
• Excellent systems thinking and the ability to translate complex challenges into clear, actionable solutions.
• Confidence working autonomously, scoping your own work and navigating shifting priorities.
• Strong user research, insight synthesis and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience creating new interactions, behaviours or digital experiences in evolving problem spaces.
• A genuine curiosity about AI, conversational interfaces, agentic AI and voice technologies.

Banking or financial services experience is advantageous, but not essential. We're particularly interested in people who bring strong interaction design, product thinking and the ability to tackle complex challenges.

You’ll have the chance to work on emerging AI experiences in a regulated environment, influence product direction and help shape how customers interact with next-generation digital services.

This isn’t simply about maintaining an existing design system or refining established features. It’s about exploring what’s possible, challenging the status quo and creating new experiences where the answers aren’t always obvious.

You don’t need to be an AI specialist. We want someone who is curious about the technology and passionate about defining how people interact with it.
