Carrington West are pleased to be working with a growing planning consultancy based in the heart of Central London, just moments from Buckingham Palace, who are looking to appoint a Planner or Senior Town Planner to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional looking to develop their career within a supportive and ambitious consultancy environment.

You’ll be involved in a varied range of planning projects, working alongside experienced planning professionals and gaining exposure to different aspects of the planning process.

The role would suit someone at Planner or Senior Town Planner level, with responsibilities and seniority tailored to your experience.

• Assist with and manage planning applications and projects
• Undertake planning research and policy assessments
• Prepare planning reports, statements and supporting documentation
• Liaise with clients, local authorities and other consultants
• Contribute to the delivery of planning strategies and projects
• Develop your knowledge across a broad range of planning matters
• Work closely with senior members of the team and have genuine opportunities for progression

We’re interested in hearing from candidates who are currently working within planning and are keen to take the next step in their career.

You may be a Planner looking to progress, or an experienced Senior Town Planner seeking a new challenge.

• A degree or postgraduate qualification in Planning or a related discipline
• Previous experience within town planning, ideally within consultancy
• Good knowledge of the UK planning system
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to manage your own workload and work to deadlines
• A proactive and commercially aware approach
• A genuine interest in developing your planning career
• RTPI membership or a desire to work towards RTPI accreditation is highly desirable
