Interior Textiles Showroom Assistant

We are recruiting for an Interior Design Textiles Sales Assistant for a luxury fabrics company in Chelsea. This is a busy showroom with an extensive collection of interior design fabrics and textiles on display. The fabric showroom is visited frequently by interior designers, architects and design professionals all of whom are working on luxury residential and hospitality projects. This role suits someone with a great eye for colour, texture and design to assist interior designers visiting the showroom combined with a need for strong administrative skills.

Duties will involve:
Looking after clients via telephone, email and in person Confidently present the collections and cross-sell, understanding the interior designers requirements and putting together fabric schemes to inspire them. Processing sample requests, client orders, and POs from US via email & orders mail Maintaining the showroom aesthetic and display, including keeping shelves refreshed and updated with new sample lengths as and when required.

Organising the return of samples Keeping the cutting folders tidy Processing the incoming stock orders in a timely and efficient manner Checking payments in and processing proformas Managing twice weekly US shipments via Fed Ex Quality Control – liaising between warehouse staff and client regarding their order post invoice being raised. Full, ongoing training is provided. The company is preferably looking for someone who has already worked in an interiors showroom or a similar business who possesses a strong interest in interior design and interior fabrics.

The company have a very friendly team of 10 based in the UK head office with 2 subsidiary offices based internationally. This role is offered on a Monday to Friday basis - 9am - 5.30pm. 4 weeks holiday per year and all UK public holidays, plus the office closes between Christmas and New Year and this is paid as additional holiday.

Salary is based on experience.
