Job Description & How to Apply Below
This one is for designers whose craft holds up in the dense, complicated screens most people avoid.
I'm working with an early-stage, VC-backed B2B SaaS start-up with clear product-market fit. Their platform runs the whole job for businesses in a traditional, field-based industry. It's mission-driven in a way I'll explain properly on a call.
- Hard problems: technical calculations and compliance rules that need to feel simple
- Wide surface area: desktop tools, mobile apps used on site, customer-facing documents
- Design has shaped the product from day one, and you'll report directly to a co-founder
- You'll ship code yourself when it makes sense
- You'll see your work in use, on site, with real customers
- 3+ years in product or UI design, ideally at a start-up
- Exceptional visual and interaction detail in complex, information-heavy products
- Comfortable running research and getting into technical detail
The portfolio is everything here. I want to see shipped product UI, final screens first, and the unglamorous details: empty states, error states, dense tables, edge cases.
