Consultant Respiratory Physician with an interest in ILD

Applications are invited for 2.0 wte positions in Respiratory Medicine, one based at Ealing Hospital and one based at Northwick Park Hospital, with cross‑site working for both posts. The successful applicant will join an expanding and dynamic forward‑thinking team.

We would welcome hearing from applicants who are interested in a sub‑specialty of Interstitial Lung Disease.

The appointee will report to the Divisional Director of Integrated Medicine for London Northwest Healthcare NHS Trust.

The department of Respiratory Medicine comprises 18.0 wte consultants across three sites:
Ealing, Central Middlesex, and Northwick Park Hospitals. Each post holder will have a main base but may be asked to work at any of the other sites in the future.

The service is supported by a respiratory matron, five CNSs across the two sites, and a junior doctor establishment including six SpR trainees, two Trust Grade Registrars, three IMTs, and a mix of FY2 and FY1s on both sites.

• Contribute pro rata to the Acute Medicine Rotas in operation at the time of appointment.
• Support the Respiratory ILD service.
• Support the general respiratory outpatient service.
• Participate in the regular ILD multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Join consultant colleagues at the Ealing site, where a 34‑bed respiratory ward includes a 6‑bed Enhanced Respiratory Unit with a Consultant of the Week service model.
• Join consultant colleagues at Northwick Park Hospital, where a 33‑bed respiratory ward operates with a COTW (Consultant of the Week) service model.
