Applications are invited for two Clinical Fellows in Neuroradiology at King’s College Hospital NHS Trust. These full time (10 PA) Post‑CCT clinical fellow posts in diagnostic Neuroradiology offer an exciting opportunity for outstanding candidates to join our close‑knit and dynamic team in providing a high‑quality service to our local and regional population.
Main duties of the jobThe scope of the duties of the post holder will be subjected to approval by the neuroradiology clinical lead, following consultation with individual post holders. In addition, the individual will play an active role in the general workload of the neuroradiology department and participate in the out‑of‑hours evening and weekend shift rota.
To be considered applicants must meet the essential criteria stated in the job description and have:
- Completed Specialty Registrar training (CCT) in Radiology or equivalent
- hold full FRCR (part 1 and part 2a and 2b) prior to commencing the post
- full registration with a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at the time of application
The King’s Department of Neuroradiology forms part of the regional Neuroscience service provision, serving a diverse population of 4 million. The regional Neurosciences unit at King’s is one of the largest and busiest in the country. King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s largest and busiest teaching hospitals with over 1.5 million patient contacts a year and more than 13 000 staff based across five main sites in South East London and Kent.
King’s is both a Major Trauma and Hyper‑acute Stroke Centre in London. The individuals will play an active role in the general workload of the Neuroradiology department. The posts will have an on‑call commitment and the post holders will be expected to contribute to the performance and governance agenda of the division.
Person specification Qualifications- Full FRCR (Part 1 and 2a and 2b)
- Full registration with GMC with Licence to Practice
- Wide experience in all aspects of general, culminating in award of Certificate of completion of training (CCT) or equivalent
- Knowledge/experience of radiology emergencies
- Competent to work, reporting of on‑call neuro CT and MRI without direct supervision where appropriate
- Experience and ability to work in multi‑professional teams in the Health Service
