Whipps Cross University Hospital, part of the Barts Health NHS Trust Group, is looking for a motivated Trust Grade doctor of ST1-2 equivalent level to work in Acute Medicine and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) on a one year fixed term contract. This role provides an exciting opportunity to gain clinical experience in Acute Medicine, rotating through the busy and varied acute assessment unit (AAU) and SDEC, including evening and weekend work on an acute medicine rota.
Participation in quality improvement is also an expectation of the role.

This role is ideal for an enthusiastic doctor seeking a period of focused training in acute medicine.
- Full GMC Registration with license to practice
- MBBS or equivalent
- Current ALS certificate
- MRCP Part 1
- Broad experience in general internal medicine
- Clinical experience in the NHS in an acute hospital setting
- Clinical experience in acute medicine
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, relatives, GPs nurses and other agencies
- Ability to teach medical students and junior medical and nursing staff.
- Clinical skills at IMT1 level
- Self-motivated with a flexible, adaptable and reflective attitude to work.
- Evidence of participation in multidisciplinary clinical audit and demonstrable commitment to quality improvement
- Enthusiasm and ability to work under pressure
- Good leadership skills
