Physicians Associate

We are looking for an experienced Physicians Associate to join our friendly well established team based in East London. The successful candidate will work alongside our team of GP's to provide care for our patients from history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis and management of conditions under the GP's supervision. You will be expected to perform delegated duties with a high degree of clinical skills and knowledge.

The successful candidate will have be expected to take medical histories, perform physical examinations, review test results and deliver treatment as required. Candidates should be able to see patients presenting with both acute problems and ongoing conditions, visiting housebound patients when needed.

GP support and supervision will be available for the candidate with a named duty doctor allocated to them daily for guidance.

Responsibilities will include:

• Assessing, examining, diagnosing and treating patients.
• Conducting telephone and face to face consultations, discussing test results and investigations.
• Assessing and dealing with urgent on the day appointments and routine follow-ups
• Undertake home visits where appropriate
• Provide care to patients using the clinical guidelines
• Support patients with preventative healthcare

• 1 year minimum experience working as a physicians associate
• Experience in triage
• Experienced in dealing with a range of clinical conditions
• Disclosure and Barring service check
• Previous experience in primary care setting
• knowledge of Emis Web
