Life at Carnival UK is shaped by people who genuinely care; about their work, their colleagues, and the guests we serve. Across our diverse teams, we champion inclusion, fresh thinking, and the confidence to bring your full self to work. We are a growing organisation with a strong focus on continuous learning. Whether through formal qualifications or the unique lessons that come from travelling the world, we offer rich opportunities for personal and professional development.
Every role on board encourages you to stretch your skills, learn from highly experienced colleagues, and shape your own career path within the cruise and maritime industry.
Being a Doctor on board a P&O Cruises or Cunard ship is a truly distinctive medical career. Our ships operate like small towns, and our medical teams manage an exceptionally varied caseload. While you’ll certainly treat the occasional sunburn or seasickness, you’ll also draw on your A&E or Critical Care expertise to manage a wide spectrum of conditions; from minor injuries to complex medical emergencies, including cardiac arrests.
You’ll work in a fully equipped medical centre, balancing the autonomy of remote medicine with the support of a close-knit clinical team. No two days are the same, and every voyage brings new challenges, new people, and new experiences.
