Main duties of the job
  • Provide senior clinical leadership in assessing and managing older adults with complex needs
  • Support timely, safe and person‑centred care across acute and community pathways
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to guide clinical decisions and care plans
  • Contribute to teaching, supervision and development of junior and non‑medical staff
  • Lead or support quality improvement and service development initiatives
  • Model compassionate, professional practice that promotes dignity and respect
  • Use strong communication and clinical judgement to enhance safety and patient experience

  • Provide senior clinical leadership in assessing and managing older adults with complex, multi‑factorial needs
  • Deliver and promote timely, safe and person‑centred care across acute, ambulatory and community pathways
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to guide clinical decisions, prioritisation and care planning
  • Contribute to teaching, supervision and development of junior doctors and wider team members
  • Lead or support quality improvement, audit and service development initiatives
  • Model compassionate, inclusive and professional practice that upholds dignity and respect
  • Apply strong communication, teamwork and clinical judgement to enhance safety and patient experience
  • Support effective coordination of care and continuity across services to improve outcomes for older people

The Trust is recognised internationally for its work in liver disease and transplantation, neurosciences, cardiac, haemato‑oncology, fetal medicine, stroke, major trauma, and Emergency Department.
