Senior Clinical Fellow in Gastroenterology IBD (IMT3+)

An opportunity has arisen to join the Gastroenterology and Hepatology team rge's Hospital (London, UK) as a Senior Clinical Research Fellow in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). The post provides excellent clinical exposure to complex IBD, GI bleeds and endoscopy. The appointed candidate will work within a team, supported by Foundation Year and Intermediate Medical Trainees.
The applicant must be within a training program for gastroenterology and must have tertiary level of IBD clinics. The applicant will be expected to participate in research and publication ongoing at St George's hospital.
The clinical aspects of these posts include weekly IBD clinics and being part of the regional SWL GI bleed rota. The salary is a combination of GI bleed rota and a 50% clinical salary. Due to the clinical duties of the post this is only suitable to senior gastroenterology SpRs who have tertiary IBD clinic experience, have MRCP and are independent with upper GI bleed endoscopy evidenced by experience of independent performance on a GI bleed rota.
Mainduties of the job

- MBBS or equivalent
- Full registration with GMC
- Achieved provider status in at least one of ALS, ATLS and APLS
