By collaborating with cutting-edge biotech and pharmaceutical firms, IAG ensures cleaner data, faster trial outcomes, and confident decision-making in drug development.

We now seek a senior oncology imaging leader to shape and oversee all oncology programs and become the visible scientific face of IAG in this space.

Position overview

The Global Head of Oncology Imaging will provide strategic, scientific and operational leadership across IAG’s oncology portfolio. This person will own global oversight of oncology imaging trials, lead key sponsor interactions, and drive the development and external visibility of IAG’s oncology capabilities. The role is ideal for a recognised expert who wants to leverage deep academic/industry experience to influence multiple programs and help scale a high‑growth, innovation‑focused organisation.

responsibilities
  • Strategic leadership
    • Define and lead IAG’s oncology imaging strategy across phases I–IV and post‑marketing studies.
    • Shape IAG’s scientific positioning in oncology imaging (e.g., mechanisms of action, response criteria, novel biomarkers, AI‑enabled endpoints).
    • Partner closely with the CEO and executive team on portfolio decisions, productisation of imaging services, and strategic partnerships.
    • Take accountability for strategic relationships.
  • Scientific and medical oversight
    • Provide ultimate scientific accountability for all oncology imaging trials (protocols, charters, manuals, read paradigms, QC plans, data interpretation).
    • Closely work with Head of Medical and Scientific Affairs, IAG's Scientific Advisors, Radiology Groups to support clinical trials.
    • Lead or supervise development of imaging endpoint strategies for sponsor programs, including complex/novel endpoints and surrogate biomarkers.
    • Chair internal oncology imaging review boards, adjudication meetings and critical data reviews.
  • Client-facing leadership and business development
    • Act as primary senior contact for strategic oncology accounts and high‑value opportunities.
    • Represent IAG in sponsor meetings (study design, regulatory interactions, DMCs, advisory boards).
    • Partner with BD/Commercial teams to shape proposals, defend methodologies, and support closing of new business.
  • Operational excellence & team leadership
    • Provide hands‑on guidance to imaging scientists, project teams and reader networks on complex oncology trials.
    • Mentor and develop a high‑performing oncology imaging group, including succession planning and recruitment.
    • Ensure consistent scientific quality and scalability of oncology delivery processes across geographies.
  • External visibility and thought leadership
    • Represent IAG at international oncology and imaging conferences, workshops and consortia.
    • Lead or co‑author scientific publications, white papers and position statements in oncology imaging.
    • Build and nurture collaborations with academic groups, cooperative groups and technology partners.
Candidate profile

Essential qualifications

  • Medical degree (M.D. or equivalent) in radiology, nuclear medicine, radiation oncology or closely related field; or Ph.D. with equivalent international reputation in oncology imaging.
  • Recognised track record in oncology imaging trials (e.g., PET/CT, MRI, CT, hybrid imaging), ideally with multicentre and/or global experience.
  • Significant experience in:
    • Designing and ope rationalising imaging endpoints in oncology trials.
    • Working with industry sponsors (pharma/biotech) and/or cooperative groups.
    • Leading multidisciplinary teams across science, operations and technology.
