Location: Greater London

The Department of Urology at University College Hospital is looking to recruit a highly motivated and dedicated Clinical Fellow for a fixed term of 12 months from October 2025 in the Stones and Endourology department.

The successful candidate will join the largest and most prestigious Urological Department in the UK, gaining experience in pioneering new treatments and ensuring excellent patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and effective care for patients under the supervision of the Consultant Urologist, including theatre lists and clinics.
  • Lead on the management of inpatients and undertake on‑call duties for the department as required.
  • Have primary charge of all patients admitted to the service and the day‑to‑day care of the patients.
  • Attend ward rounds with the Consultants and visit each of the firm's patients on a daily basis, assisting the ward‑duty Trust Doctor.
  • Participate in regular clinics to see new patients, recently discharged patients, and those requiring ongoing follow‑up.
  • Observe, assist and operate in theatre as directed by the consultant.
  • Prescribe drugs and diets for both inpatients and outpatients.
  • Liaise closely with the multi‑disciplinary teams involved in care of urology admissions, especially those arising from trauma, and attend the weekly multi‑disciplinary team meeting.
  • Take part in and present audit and research projects.
  • Teach other staff, undergraduate and postgraduate students.
