Consultant Radiologist (Breast Imaging)
Salary Scale - £111,430 – £148,064 per annum (pro rata if part-time)
Forth Valley Royal Hospital seeks to appoint a Consultant Breast Radiologist to complete our complement of 17 WTE General Consultant Radiologists. This post is offered on a full‑time basis working within the symptomatic breast service and providing cross‑board support, but part‑time working options are also available. Sessions can also be worked within breast screening. The breast service has cross‑board working arrangements with NHS Fife, Lanarkshire and Dumfries and Galloway.
This post will include a cross‑board commitment to support NHS Dumfries and Galloway and an option to do remote and rural general radiology sessions supporting one of the Island Health Boards.
- Deliver breast imaging services within the symptomatic breast service and breast screening.
- Provide cross‑board support to NHS Fife, Lanarkshire, Dumfries and Galloway and the Island Health Boards.
- Work with a cohesive radiology team and collaborate with clinical consultants.
- Full GMC registration and license to practice.
- Wide range of experience in radiology with membership of the Royal College of Radiologists or equivalent.
- Within 6 months of the anticipated award of CCT, or entry onto the GMC Specialist Register if applying under the Portfolio pathway.
- Evidence of recent continued academic and professional development.
- Excellent communication, listening and organisational skills.
