The Post - Behaviour Teaching Assistant
In this Behaviour Teaching Assistant role, you will be required to support students with very challenging behaviour and some may have specific learning difficulties or other additional needs. It is your job to manage behaviour within the classroom and also to ensure students are engaged and participating in lessons. Ideally, due to the challenges that you may face in this role, the school are ideally looking for somebody with experience in a similar setting and somebody that has physical intervention or restraint training.
The School - Behaviour Teaching Assistant
Found in the London Borough of Bexley, this Pupil Referral Unit are expanding and therefore require a Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join their growing team. The class sizes are of around 6-8 students in each class and all students are in either KS3 or KS4. The school cater for students that have been temporarily or permanently excluded from mainstream education and they have a clear aim to improve the behaviour, attendance and social/emotional wellbeing of all students that attend the pupil referral unit.
