Position: SEN Teacher (Part Time)
Part-Time SEN Teacher (2/3 Days per Week)
South London Secondary School
Monday and Wednesday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
Salary: £200 - £220 per day

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join a thriving and inclusive secondary school in South London on a part-time, long-term basis. This role would suit an organised, proactive, and compassionate practitioner who is passionate about supporting students with additional needs and ensuring positive outcomes for all learners.

The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCO and wider inclusion team to deliver high-quality support for students with special educational needs and disabilities. You will play a vital role in maintaining the school's strong culture of inclusion and providing tailored interventions that enable students to thrive both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver targeted literacy and learning interventions for students requiring additional support.
Work alongside subject teachers to adapt classroom strategies and ensure effective support for pupils with SEND.
Provide in-class assistance, small-group teaching, and 1:1 support where appropriate.
Contribute to the creation and review of individual support plans and provision mapping.
Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to support student progress and wellbeing.
Maintain accurate records, monitor progress, and contribute to whole-school SEND planning.
Support the inclusion team in upholding statutory requirements and best practice in SEND provision.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching or supporting students with SEND in a school setting.
A solid understanding of the SEND Code of Practice.
Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a busy school environment.
