Smart Teachers is working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in East London to recruit a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teacher from January 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity for a skilled practitioner who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs to achieve their full potential.

The Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with the SEND team to plan and deliver high-quality, tailored provision for students with a range of special educational needs. You will play a key role in removing barriers to learning and supporting positive outcomes for all learners

Key responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet a range of SEND needs

Supporting students with EHCPs across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 where appropriate)

Working collaboratively with the SENCo, support staff, and external professionals

Monitoring progress and contributing to reviews and assessments

Promoting inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour

About you:

Hold QTS (or be working towards it)

Have experience working with students with SEND in a secondary setting

Demonstrate a strong understanding of inclusive practice and differentiation

Be patient, resilient, and committed to improving outcomes for students with additional needs

Be suitable for ECTs or experienced teachers with a passion for SEND
