A large mainstream primary school located in Redbridge, London are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join them from November 2025 or sooner on a full time & permanent contract to work alongside children with special educational needs.
These roles are for two SEN Teaching Assistants who may have experience with SEN or who are recent graduates in Education or Psychology/Criminology or an SEN related degree.
The students have a variety of special educational needs including ASD, ADHD, challenging behaviour or learning difficulties. You will have the opportunity to work 1-2-1 with a designated child and support their learning and development.
The roles will be within EYFS, KS1 or KS2, depending on your experience and preference. Start dates mentioned include November 2025 (or sooner) and January 2025 in some context. Please discuss available roles when applying.
Location details: the school is within walking distance of two local tube stations in Redbridge and is accessible by bus and car.
Responsibilities- Support your allocated child in the classroom and assist the class teacher.
- Build a rapport with the child to help them feel confident in and out of the classroom.
- Help the child receive the best possible education with appropriate support.
- Provide 1-2-1 support for children with additional needs as required.
- Participate in training and ongoing professional development provided by the school.
- Experience working with children with SEN or are recent graduates in Education or Psychology/Criminology or an SEN related degree.
- Interested in working with children with additional needs such as ASD, ADHD, challenging behaviour or learning difficulties.
- Open to roles in EYFS, KS1 or KS2 depending on experience and preference.
How to Apply
- Permanent contract; salary £21,000-£28,000 per annum;
