About Us We are Health and Fitness Education (HFE), an award-winning training and qualification provider in the active leisure sector. We deliver a wide range of fitness courses and qualifications throughout the UK, including the Level 3 Reformer Pilates Teacher course.

We’re looking for dedicated and enthusiastic reformer Pilates teachers to join our expanding teaching and assessing team. The successful candidates should demonstrate the ability to deliver high quality training in the active leisure sector while maintaining the outstanding customer service we are known for. The role involves teaching and assessing the practical aspects of our reformer Pilates programme across various training venues in the UK.

You will teach the course in accordance with the timetables, lesson plans and resources we supply, while also drawing on your expert knowledge and professional experience to shape the customer experience. As a new tutor, you will be paired with experienced senior tutors for initial on-the-job training before teaching independently.

The role is freelance and self-employed, with work allocated based on availability and skill-set. Most courses are delivered at weekends; mid-week opportunities may also be available.

The Current Rate Of Pay Is As Follows £185.00 per day – Level 3 Courses (including reformer Pilates). These are reviewed annually in line with the consumer price index. Expenses and enhancements are also covered as required.

• Teach and assess the practical aspects of the reformer Pilates programme across multiple venues.
• Deliver training in line with timetables, lesson plans and supplied resources, while applying personal expertise to enhance learner experience.
• Collaborate with senior tutors during initial phase to transition to independent delivery.
• Provide high-quality customer service and support to learners.

• At least 2 years’ experience in the health and fitness sector, preferably with reformer Pilates planning and delivery.
• Passionate and energetic fitness professional committed to helping others realise their potential and career prospects.
• Service-focused with a willingness to exceed customer expectations.
• Strong communication skills, including empathetic and sensitive interaction.
• Level 3 Diploma in Mat Pilates (or equivalent).
• A recognised reformer Pilates training certificate.
• A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., Award/Certificate/Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent).
• A relevant vocational assessing qualification (e.g., D32/33, A1/A2, CAVA, AVRA) or working towards one.

• Freelance and self-employed position; work allocated based on availability and skill-set.
• Work is primarily at weekends; some mid-week opportunities may be available.
• Location options across the UK (e.g., Manchester, London and surrounding areas).
• We require exclusive commitment to HFE in a commercial capacity; applications from tutors employed by other training providers are not accepted.
