Teaching Assistant

Location: Greater London

A friendly and inclusive secondary school in Barking and Dagenham, East London is looking to appoint a reliable and caring Teaching Assistant to become part of its well-established inclusion team.

This full-time, long-term opportunity is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and is keen to contribute to a positive, encouraging learning environment where all students are supported to achieve their best.

The position offers a daily rate of up to £110, dependent on experience.

About the Role:

Deliver focused 1:1 and small-group support to students across different subjects and year groups
Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure lessons are accessible and engaging
Assist the SENCO and inclusion team with personalised support plans and progress monitoring
Promote positive behaviour, confidence, and independence both in the classroom and across the school

Experience working with children or young people, ideally including SEND exposure
Communicate effectively and build strong, positive relationships with students and staff
Be patient, flexible, and proactive in a fast-paced school environment
Show a genuine commitment to supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development
