Early Years Teaching Assistant - EYFS & SEN (ASD) - Deptford - ASAP Start

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Deptford is seeking an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their Reception team as soon as possible. This Early Years Teaching Assistant role involves supporting children in EYFS, including pupils with ASD and additional SEN needs.

This role requires a confident Early Years Teaching Assistant who is comfortable covering the class on Mondays. All lesson materials will be fully planned and provided, and the Teaching Assistant will be responsible for delivering the work and maintaining classroom routines.

The successful Early Years Teaching Assistant will:

Support children across EYFS, including pupils with ASD

Deliver pre-set lessons when covering the class on Mondays

Provide consistent routines and behaviour support

Work closely with the class teacher and SEN team

Bring confidence, initiative, and strong classroom presence

Requirements:

EYFS experience is essential

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in Early Years

SEN experience, particularly ASD

Confidence leading the class when required
