Teach Now is delighted to be recruiting for a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant on behalf of a high-achieving, one-form entry primary school in Havering. This well-respected community school is proud of its inclusive culture, academic standards, and creative curriculum. They are now seeking a confident and dedicated TA to support targeted booster interventions and work with pupils requiring additional guidance in class.

The school is located in a bustling area of Havering, close to local shops and parks, with great public transport links and parking facilities nearby. The staff work collaboratively in a warm and friendly environment where professional development is actively encouraged and wellbeing is a top priority.

About the Role

You will work across Key Stage 2, providing intervention support in literacy and numeracy while also supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them access the curriculum effectively. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside experienced teachers, develop your classroom practice, and make a real difference in pupils’ academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering small group booster sessions in English and Maths

Offering 1:1 support for pupils with learning difficulties or behavioural needs

Collaborating with the class teacher to adapt resources and lesson plans

Tracking progress and helping implement support strategies

Assisting with classroom preparation and the general learning environment

Requirements

Experience working with Key Stage 2 children, ideally in an educational setting

Confidence supporting pupils with SEN or delivering targeted interventions

A team player with strong communication skills and initiative

A positive and proactive attitude to behaviour management and learning support

A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 TA certificate) is desirable but not essential
