Position: 1:1 Primary Teaching Assistant (Contract)
Position - 1:1 Primary Teaching Assistant

Location - Barking & Dagenham

Full time - Monday to Friday 8.30am till 4.00 pm

As a 1:1 primary teaching assistant, your main role is to support the learning and development of a specific student within a classroom setting. This student may have special educational needs or require additional support to meet their learning goals.

Your responsibilities may include:

Working closely with the class teacher to plan and deliver appropriate learning activities and interventions for the student.
Providing one-to-one support to the students during lessons, helping them to understand concepts and complete tasks.
Monitoring and recording the student's progress and reporting back to the teacher
Adapting resources and materials to meet the student's individual needs
Supporting the student with their social and emotional development
Liaising with parents and other professionals involved in the student's care, such as educational psychologists or speech therapists.

To be an effectiveprimary teaching assistant, you should have good communication skills, be patient and understanding, and be able to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals. You should also have a good understanding of child development and be able to adapt your approach to meet the needs of individual students.
