Grade: PO1 (Actual Salary: £35,854 - £38,075 pa)

Contract: Full time, 35 hours per week, term-time only (39 weeks)

Working hours: 8:00am to 4:00pm

Start date: ASAP

Overview

We are seeking to appoint a committed and compassionate Inclusion Officer (SEMH) to join our experienced SEND team. This key role supports students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs across KS3–KS5, ensuring they are fully included in school life and receive the targeted support they need to achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with the Deputy SENDCo, SENDCO, Inclusion Officers, teaching staff and external agencies, the successful candidate will play a central role in coordinating SEMH provision, supporting staff, leading Individual Support Assistants (ISAs) and working in close partnership with families and professionals.

Qualifications
  • Experience of working with children and young people with SEMH and SEND
  • Strong knowledge of inclusive practice, safeguarding and SEND processes
  • Excellent organisational, communication and ICT skills
  • A professional, calm and empathetic approach
  • The ability to lead, support and motivate support staff
