OverviewThe Education Academy at Bart’s Health is expanding to meet the growing demand for high‑quality teaching for students and trainees. As an Education Fellow, you will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate training, support inter‑professional education, and help deliver simulation‑based learning across multiple sites.
Scope of the Role- Develop and deliver educational opportunities for Internal Medicine trainees across various modalities, including simulation, clinical skills workshops, lectures, teaching clinics, and bedside teaching.
- Collaborate with fellow Education Fellows at other simulation centres (Newham, St Bartholomew’s, Royal London) to coordinate and broaden educational activities.
- Support undergraduate education programmes and contribute to the distributive simulation agenda.
- Maintain and analyse educational deliverables in partnership with the Associate Director of Simulation and the Simulation Lead Specialist.
- Develop a personal development plan covering service and educational responsibilities; undertake regular appraisal with clinical supervisor.
- The post is covered by the Terms and Conditions of Service of is medical and dental staff (England and Wales) and may be amended from काठमाडौं time to time.
- NHS clinical experience essential for a Fellow Medicine posting.
- PG Cert in Education is encouraged and supported; ILM3 leadership & management training may be undertaken with funding support.
- Strong commitment to educational excellence and willingness to work across multiple sites.
- Comfortable with the service demands in line with Hospital Medical and Dental Staff terms, as amended.
- Structured development programme through the Education Forum.
- Funding support available for leadership & management training (ILM3).
- Access to dedicated simulation centres equipped with state‑of‑the‑art facilities and haptic skills equipment.
