I’m supporting a London-based multi‑academy trust to appoint an Interim Assistant Headteacher for an Alternative Provision setting.

This is a hands‑on leadership role, suited to someone confident operating in a fast‑paced, high‑challenge environment, supporting pupils with complex behavioural needs.

Key experience required:

Senior leadership experience (Assistant Head / Deputy Head / Head of School)
Background in Alternative Provision, SEMH, SEND or similar settings
Strong behaviour leadership and pastoral expertise
Confident, resilient and calm under pressure
Experience with de‑escalation strategies (e.g. Team Teach) highly desirable
Comfortable with a teaching commitment alongside leadership duties
