Computer Science Teacher

Secondary School - Waltham Forest, East London

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Computer Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking and supportive secondary school in Waltham Forest. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to inspire students and contribute to a thriving department.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

Teach Computer Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable)

Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that support student progress

Assess, track and report on student attainment effectively

Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities

Work collaboratively within the department and wider school community

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK (or be working towards QTS)

A degree in Computer Science or a closely related subject

Strong subject knowledge of the Computer Science curriculum

Eligibility to work in the UK

Desirable Experience

Experience teaching Computer Science in a secondary school setting

Ability to teach programming languages such as Python, Java or similar

Experience teaching GCSE Computer Science (A Level desirable but not essential)

Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to inclusive education
