Overview

Computer Science Teacher – Secondary School, Waltham Forest, East London

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Computer Science Teacher to join a forward-thinking and supportive secondary school in Waltham Forest. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to inspire students and contribute to a thriving department.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Computer Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable)
  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that support student progress
  • Assess, track and report on student attainment effectively
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
  • Work collaboratively within the department and wider school community
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK (or be working towards QTS)
  • A degree in Computer Science or a closely related subject
  • Strong subject knowledge of the Computer Science curriculum
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
Desirable Experience
  • Experience teaching Computer Science in a secondary school setting
  • Ability to teach programming languages such as Python, Java or similar
  • Experience teaching GCSE Computer Science (A Level desirable but not essential)
  • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to inclusive education
