KS2-KS3 Tutor (Ages 7-14) - Bexley

1:1 Tuition | PAYE | Monday-Friday | Full-Time or Part-Time hours

New Chapter Tuition is seeking a committed and enthusiastic KS2-KS3 Tutor to provide high-quality one-to-one tuition to learners aged 7-14 across Bexley. This transition is a crucial time for learners and your impact is important.

This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

About the Role

You will deliver personalised 1:1 tuition to pupils in Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 (Years 3-9). Many learners may require additional support due to learning gaps, low confidence, SEN, anxiety, or time away from mainstream education.

Sessions take place in homes, libraries, learning hubs, and community settings, following a supportive and structured approach aligned with the UK curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engaging 1:1 tuition in English, Maths, and/or Science
  • Plan and adapt lessons in line with the UK National Curriculum
  • Support academic progress, confidence, and study skills
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with learners
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback
  • Encourage motivation, independence, and resilience
Essential Requirements
  • Experience teaching or tutoring KS2-KS3 learners (Ages 7-14)
  • Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum
  • Patient, calm, and encouraging teaching style
  • Ability to adapt to individual learning needs
  • Confident working independently
  • Right to work in the UK
Desirable (Not Essential)
  • Experience supporting learners with SEN or SEMH
  • Teaching qualification or relevant tutoring experience
  • Experience delivering catch-up or intervention programmes
