Job DescriptionJoin Elizabeth School of London as a Statistics & Data Management Lecturer and be at the forefront of higher education innovation. As a key member of our dynamic team, you'll contribute to the delivery of programs with renowned university partners. The person appointed will join a progressive team at Elizabeth School of London and be involved in the delivery of a range of full-time programs, including Foundation year and full-degree courses in partnership with Canterbury Christ Church University, Bath Spa University, St Mary's University Twickenham London, and other partners.
Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and innovative lectures, seminars, and workshops in various disciplines.
- Provide high-quality teaching and learning across a range of programs within a Higher Education setting.
- Contribute to the development and continual improvement of courses, coordinating effectively with both staff and students.
- Contribute to the production of module/unit-specific Scheme of Work.
- Develop module materials for each of the modules being undertaken.
- Provide/Deliver/Facilitate subject-specific sessions in line with the Learning Outcomes and syllabuses of modules.
- Deploy assessments appropriately as set out by the assessment team.
- Set out measures to understand the learning needs of students on their modules.
- Support students with timely formative feedback to the extent prescribed by each of the program specifications.
- Mark and provide summative feedback within the prescribed deadline published by the Assessment Team.
- Ensure that all expectations of the Programme Specification of respective Awarding Bodies and Universities under which modules are being taught.
- Produce appropriate module/unit reports.
- Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Master's degree and/or a PhD in the relevant area.
- Previous lecturing experience for similar courses at HEI level.
- Strong knowledge of current trends and issues in the relevant sector.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
- Work in line with Blackboard / VLEs, MS Teams.
- Having teaching qualifications PGCHE, MA in HE Practice, or FHEA, etc.
- Experience working in the industry of your subject.
